Once every data type you chose has finished, unSquared shows a Mark One-Time Migration Complete button on your dashboard. It is optional, and clicking it closes the tools your plan includes. If you clicked it too early, you can reopen the tools you have not used yet, once, and only within 24 hours of marking complete. After that the completion is final. This guide explains what marking complete does, what the undo gives back and what it does not, and how to avoid needing it.
What marking complete does
- It is optional and never automatic
The button appears on the dashboard checklist once every data type you selected has completed. unSquared never marks a migration complete for you, so nothing is closed until you click it.
- The dialog shows what you are closing
The confirm window, "Mark this migration as complete?", lists what has been migrated so far (items and runs for each type) and what your plan includes, so you can check before you confirm. It also reminds you: "Changed your mind? For 24 hours after you mark complete, you can reopen once to use any one-time tools you have not used yet."
- No more runs under this purchase
After you confirm, no migration, re-sync, inventory sync or product weight update can run again under this purchase. Any schedules that were still waiting are cancelled.
- Your dashboard becomes a summary
It shows "One-time migration complete" with your run history, and suggests downloading your reports and disconnecting Square.
What your plan includes
- The full migration
Product Catalog (with discounts and categories), Customers, Gift Cards and URL Redirects.
- Re-sync Products
One use.
- Inventory Sync
One use.
- Scheduled Inventory Sync
One use.
- Re-sync Customers
One use.
- Scheduled Gift Card Migration
One use.
- Product Weight + Online Price update
One use.
Tip: use the tools you want before you mark complete
Before you click Mark complete, run the one-time tools you still want, such as a final Re-sync Products or Inventory Sync. Because unSquared never completes a migration on its own, you lose nothing until you click. If you do click too soon, reopen within 24 hours.
If you marked complete by mistake: reopen your unused tools within 24 hours
- 1Open the dashboard
The completed summary shows a "Marked complete by mistake?" banner while the reopen is available to you. It says "This option is available until" followed by the date and time your 24 hours end.
- 2Click Reopen unused tools
A confirmation window opens.
- 3Confirm with Yes, reopen
Your dashboard now shows "Your remaining one-time tools", with an Open link for each tool you can still use and a Used badge on each one you have already used.
- 4Use the tools you need
Each unused tool can run once.
- 5Mark complete again when you are done
This second time is final. See the warning below.
What reopening does and does not bring back
| Status | What happens |
|---|---|
| Opens again | Only the one-time tools you have not used yet, one use each. |
| Stays closed | New migrations: the Migrate buttons for Products, Customers and Gift Cards, and the URL Redirects page. |
| Stays closed | Changing what you are migrating. |
| Stays used | Any tool you already used. Reopening does not give it back. |
| Not restored | Schedules that the first Mark complete cancelled. If a schedule was cancelled, its tool gets its use back, so you can set up a new one. |
When the reopen is available, and when it is not
- It is available for 24 hours only
You can reopen only if you marked complete less than 24 hours ago. When the time is up, the box instead says "The 24 hour window to reopen ended on" followed by the date, "so this completion is final." Nothing reopens it later.
- You have not bought the plan
The option is only for stores that bought the plan themselves, not for a Partner-Assisted Migration window.
- The purchase was refunded
A refunded purchase cannot be reopened.
- You have reopened before
There is only one reopen per store.
- Every tool is already used
If there is nothing left to reopen, the banner does not appear.
- You can still read the deadline
The confirmation email sent when you mark complete also states the deadline.
The second Mark complete is final
After you reopen, the next time you mark the migration complete, the dialog warns that it cannot be undone, and the button reads "Yes, mark complete for good". There is no second reopen, so use any remaining tools before you confirm it.
Nothing in Shopify is touched
Marking complete, and reopening, only change which unSquared tools can run. Products, customers, gift cards, discounts, collections and redirects already in your Shopify store stay exactly as they are, and your run history stays on your dashboard.

Re-sync Products is one of the one-time tools. See how it finds what is new without re-checking everything.
